Will this run on the cameras and intercom hardware we already own?

Almost always, yes. AKCS Vision runs on any RTSP / ONVIF stream — keep your existing IP cameras. Intercom calling runs on Agora, so calls stay reliable — security personnel can call residents, and residents can call security (or each other) even when they're abroad. We'll do a free hardware audit before quoting.

How is resident data handled — and where does it live?

Every property is its own tenant, isolated at the database and storage layer. Data centres are in Mumbai and Hyderabad. A SOC-2 Type II audit is underway; we'll share the report when it completes. On-prem deployment is available for builders who require it.

What happens to the WhatsApp group?

It quietly empties itself. Once notices, polls, and complaints move into AKCS, residents stop posting them on WhatsApp on their own. We don't force a cutover. Most communities keep a small social group for chitchat — and that's fine.

How is AKCS Vision priced?

AKCS Vision is billed per camera, per month. It runs on your existing IP cameras, so you don't buy new ones. We deploy and manage the on-site processing hardware as part of rollout — the only ask from your side is a small server room: cool, networked, locked.

What does onboarding actually look like?

Two weeks. Week 1: data import (residents, units, vehicle list), cameras and intercom configured, security personnel trained. Week 2: residents activated, soft launch with the management committee. We do this live, not async — someone from AKCS is on a video call with you every day.

What if we want to leave?

Your data exports as CSV + the originals of every uploaded file. No exit fees. We'd rather you stay because we earn it.

How much does a society management app cost per flat in India?

Typical platforms charge ₹3–15 per flat per month; premium security suites run ₹35–50. AKCS Gate is free during the launch period, then ₹29 (Starter) or ₹49 (Community) per unit per month. AKCS Vision is billed per camera, per month.

Does AKCS work for small societies?

Yes. The Starter plan covers communities up to 100 units, with the same gate management, payments and amenity booking as larger deployments.

Can AKCS read number plates at the gate?

Yes. AKCS Vision includes number plate recognition (ANPR) and facial recognition, running on your existing cameras and processed on hardware inside your property. Camera reads are matched against the AKCS Gate entry log — the app says who was let in; the camera can prove it.
