Society management app in Chennai

DAC Developers runs AKCS society and community management software across multiple projects in Chennai — gate management, maintenance billing, amenities and complaints, with the resident and security apps in Tamil.

Which Chennai communities run on AKCS?

DAC Developers runs AKCS across multiple projects in Chennai — a client on the same platform and the same terms as the communities in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Amaravathi. The full stack: gate and visitor management, maintenance billing, amenities, complaints, parking and the resident app. Not a trial, and not a reduced version of it.

A builder running several projects on one platform gets something a single-community deployment does not: each project is isolated in its own tenant, with its own residents, ledger and gate configuration, while the builder keeps a consistent handover process across all of them.

Chennai onboarding runs the same two weeks as everywhere else — week one for data import, gate configuration and security-personnel training, week two activating residents alongside your committee, with someone from AKCS on a call every day.

Does the app work in Tamil?

Yes — and this is the part most platforms get wrong.

The AKCS resident app and the security-personnel app both run in Tamil, alongside English, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Push notifications go out in each resident's own stored language rather than one setting for the whole community.

It goes further than menu translation. A resident can file a complaint by speaking it in Tamil — the app transcribes what they said and stores the English translation alongside, so the complaint reaches the maintenance team in a language they can action without the resident having to switch languages to be heard.

For a Chennai building where the residents speak Tamil, the committee corresponds in English and the housekeeping team speaks something else again, that is the difference between an app people use and an app that sits on the home screen.

What runs at the gate?

  • Pre-approved visitors get a QR gate pass plus a 6-digit OTP by SMS, valid from 8 hours before the expected arrival.
  • Deliveries get a 24-hour QR; the 48-hour collection code is hidden from the guard entirely, so a parcel can only go to the flat.
  • Cab pre-approval matches the last four characters of the number plate, with Safe Pickup Mode showing tower or block rather than the flat number.
  • House rules can auto-approve the visitors you have already decided about — your regular maid, the milk delivery — with a deterministic rules engine, not a model guessing at the gate.

Can it run on our existing CCTV?

Yes, on any camera that exposes an RTSP stream. AKCS Vision processes it on hardware inside the building — intrusion, fire, smoke, falls, violence, loitering, odd-hour movement, crowding and abandoned objects, plus number plate recognition at the entry gate.

Nothing uploads to a cloud, and no camera gets replaced. Chennai buildings on the OMR and ECR corridors tend to have recent IP camera installs, which is exactly the case Vision is built for.

What does it cost?

AKCS Gate is free during the launch period, then ₹29 per flat per month for communities up to 100 flats, or ₹49 for larger ones. AKCS Vision is priced per camera, per month, quoted after a free hardware audit. Leaving is a CSV export plus your original files, with no exit fee.

Does it work for an RWA or apartment association in Chennai?

Yes. Apartment owners' associations and resident welfare associations run the same platform as any housing society — and for a builder like DAC running several projects, each one is a separate tenant with its own residents, ledger and gate configuration.

That matters at handover. When a project moves from builder management to its own association, nothing has to be migrated or rebuilt: the association takes over the community that already exists, with its history intact. Society management, community management, apartment association software — same system, different words.

How do we start in Chennai?

Book a demo. We will go through your tower and flat structure on the call, and plan the rollout around a site visit — training security personnel is not something that works over email.
